Simplified finite model based evaluation of tissue stress distribution on anesthetic feet of Leprosy patients for 3 dimensional orthosis fabrication

چکیده
Background The Subtalar joint position during static stance is a crucial determinant of the peak plantar pressures and forms a base for any intervention in foot related problems for leprosy affected patients[1]. Studies have stated that the subtalar joint when in neutral position is more ideal for orthotic fabrication. In this study a hypothesis was formulated and pursued [2,3]. Central to the hypothesis is that the stress will be minimal in the distal joints of the foot when the subtalar joint is neutral at static stance position.

Evaluation of Strain Distribution in Bone around Implant in Treatment Design of Overdentures Using Computer and Modeling of Finite Elements
Introduction: Introduction: Few studies have investigated the distribution of stress around implants. In this study the distribution of stress in bones around implants was investigated in five overdenture (OD) treatment designs including OD-1, OD-2, OD-3, OD-4 and OD-5. Materials and methods: The Catia modeling software was used in order to simulate the tooth/implant model and bone. First, the ...
متن کاملEffect of Abutment Height Difference on Stress Distribution in Mandibular Overdentures: A Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis
Background and Aim: Implant-supported overdentures are a treatment option for edentulous patients. One of the important factors in determining the prognosis of overdenture treatment is to control the distribution of stress in the implant-bone and attachment complex. This study assessed the effect of implant abutment height difference on stress distribution in mandibular overdentures. Materials...

متن کاملEvaluating the effect of stenosis increase and pulsatile blood pressure on effective stress distribution in viscoelastic finite element model based on carotid artery ultrasound images
The aim of this study is to evaluate the changes of effective stress distribution in plaque by progressing to the stenosis throat and to assess the pulsatile pulse pressure effect on effective stress of a viscoelastic finite-element model of carotid arteries having less and more than 50% stenosis. In-vivo geometries of the arteries were reconstructed using consecutive transverse ultrasound imag...
